The Art Room

The BBC (No Relation) Collection

The Barry Bittwister Cabal has been collecting Discordian art for years, which is a shame since the BBC (No Relation) headquarters is buried a half-mile under the earth in a secret location in the Rocky Mountains, so nobody stops by to admire it. To rectify this problem, we have begun an Online ReachOut™ program, making select items available for scrutiny without even leaving our computer. So put on a barret, grab a glass of white wine, and start clicking.

The Apocalyptic FragmentThe BBC (No Relation)'s resident gnostic was tripping in the woods when Eris flew by in a stolen Lincoln Continental and tossed this fragment of our future at his head. He dutifully mounted it for display and donated it to our art museum. He did not reveal how Eris made the car fly.

Chaos DoggyGoin' with the flow.

The Goddess of Discord choosing the Apple of Contention in the Garden of HesperidesThis print is over 100 years old, and is made from a steel engraving that's even older (and currently in the National Gallery), by JMW Turner. Click on the thumb for a huger version. Although, even at that size, the amazing detail in this print is lost. Sorry about that.

La Pomme SymboliqueThis is a card measuring 11cm x 7cm, is in French. It appears to be fairly old, perhaps from the '50s. That's all we know.

The Patch of ErisWe don't know the meaning or history of this patch yet, but our first guess is that the Erisian Liberation Front has expanded its realm of operations to include Earth's orbit.

The Plate of ErisNominally a "commemorative plate", in reality this is an 8.5 inch bas-relief carving done in ivory on black onyx. Unfortunately, it is essentially impossible to convey the beauty of it on this page. You'll just have to take our word for it.

The Extended Collections

We are not the only art collectors in Discordia. Strange, but True! There are, in fact, vast quantities of erisian artworks stored safely away from prying eyes, deep in submountainous bunkers all across this pimply planet of ours. And Uranus. We ask... no, we demand... no, we taunt: we showed you ours, now you show us yours!

The Telarus CollectionA beautiful collection of Erisian earthenware.

The Ethereal Collection

Just because art has no physical substance, is it any less art? Well, we'll let the elitist art snots argue about all that and make some room for it anyway. These works may not actually exist, but we think that shouldn't be held against them.

The Enlightenments of Beau DaschiousVideos transmitted to your brain with enlight.

Eris Gives Her BlessingEnlightenment has a cost.

The GiftAt great personal risk and using a process we don't understand, Cap'n Marrrrk has managed to take his camera back to the time of The Original Snub and return with a single fortuitous photograph. Clearly, the myth is more interesting than we had been led to believe.
